Meet Lew

Lew Lainhart is a lifelong resident of Miamisburg and a proud product of southwest Ohio. A Christian, law student, and former legislative aide, Lew is running for State Representative to bring strong, conservative leadership to Columbus — rooted in the values of faith, family, and freedom.

Lew graduated from Miamisburg High School and went on to become the first in his family to attend college, earning a B.A. in History from The Ohio State University. He began his career in public service as an intern in the Ohio House of Representatives and later served full-time as a Legislative Aide. In that role, Lew worked on a broad range of issues including criminal justice reform, mental health, health care policy, and pro-Second Amendment legislation.

He is currently a third-year law student at the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where he helped launch the St. Thomas More Catholic Society and previously served as President of the Christian Legal Society. In 2024, he worked as a Summer Legal Fellow at The Buckeye Institute, contributing to legal work advocating on behalf of Ohio’s farmers against burdensome federal regulations.

Outside of politics and law, Lew is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting and fishing. He grew up helping his family raise chickens, goats, pigs, bees, and a backyard garden — experiences that shaped his appreciation for hard work, rural life, and self-reliance.

Lew is running to defend Ohio values, support our farmers, lower taxes, and protect the freedoms that make America great. He’s ready to get to work on day one.
